SACCO roles & permissions catalog

When you edit a role under Settings → Access → Roles & Permissions, you see a list of modules, and each module has a row of checkboxes. This page lists every one of those checkboxes, in the exact order they appear on screen, with a plain description of what turning it on actually lets someone do. There are 16 modules and 52 checkboxes in total for Sacco360. Most modules follow the same pattern: View (see it), Add (create new), Edit (change existing), Delete (remove), View All (see everyone’s, not just your own). A few modules — Loans, Reports, Audit — have their own special actions instead, because “view” and “edit” aren’t specific enough for what they do. Where to manage this: Settings → Access → Roles & Permissions. System roles (Teller, Manager, etc.) can have their checkboxes changed but can’t be renamed or deleted — you can always reset one back to its factory default.

1. Sacco360 Audit

A read-only history of who did what — logins, and changes to members, loans, savings, and staff. This is its own separate permission, not bundled into any other module.

Checkbox	What it does
View	Look up the history for a specific member or loan, search across the whole log, and see who viewed or changed what. This shows everyone’s activity, not just the viewer’s own.
Admin	Run a check that confirms the audit log hasn’t been tampered with, and see if/where it was. Doesn’t reveal anything beyond what View already shows.
Export	Download the audit log as a file — the format used when submitting to a regulator. Every export is itself logged.

2. Sacco360 Dashboard

The summary screen shown after logging in.

View	See the dashboard.
Edit	Access admin-level dashboard actions, beyond just looking at it.

3. Sacco360 Groups

Checkbox	What it does
Add	Create a group.
Edit	Change a group’s details.
Delete	Remove a group.
View	See groups.
View All	See every group, not just ones you’re tied to.

Note: this permission exists in the role editor but there’s no Groups feature live in the product yet — turning it on doesn’t currently unlock any screen. It’s reserved for a future group/chama feature.

4. Sacco360 Loan Applications

A single checkbox — separate from the main Loans module because “seeing the pipeline of applications working their way through approval” is a narrower thing than “seeing loan data.”

Checkbox	What it does
View	See the list of loan applications and where each one is in the approval process.

5. Sacco360 Loans

Checkbox	What it does
Add	Start a new loan application for a member.
View	See existing loans and their status.
Edit	Change a loan’s details — this is also the permission that covers writing off a loan as unrecoverable.
Approve	Give the first sign-off on a loan application — usually the loan officer’s job.
Committee approve	Give the final sign-off, usually done by the credit committee, after the first approval.
Disburse	Release the approved funds to the member.
Repay	Log a payment a member has made toward their loan.

6. Sacco360 Member Portal

This is what an actual SACCO member (not staff) sees when they log in themselves — access to their own account only, never anyone else’s.

Checkbox	What it does
View	See your own profile, and browse the loan/savings products on offer (so you can decide what to apply for).
Add	Fill in your own profile, add a beneficiary/next-of-kin, upload an ID document, or submit things like a loan application.

7. Sacco360 Members

Staff looking up and managing the roster of people who belong to the SACCO.

Checkbox	What it does
Add	Add a new member — one at a time, or in bulk via a spreadsheet upload. Also covers generating an invitation link for someone to sign themselves up.
View	See member profiles and search the member list.
Edit	Change a member’s details. This single checkbox also covers everything else that happens to a member’s status: approving or declining an application, suspending/reactivating, starting a member’s exit, deciding on dormant/inactive accounts, and revoking an invitation link.

8. Sacco360 Reports

Checkbox	What it does
Run	Open Reports and generate one.
Export	Download a report as a file.
Schedule	Set a report to run automatically on a recurring schedule.
Manage presets	Create or edit saved report setups that the rest of the team can reuse.

9. Sacco360 Roles & Permissions

Checkbox	What it does
Add	Create a new role.
Edit	Change what an existing role can do.
Delete	Remove a role.
View	See what roles exist and what each one can do.
View All	See every role, including ones outside your own scope.

10. Sacco360 Savings

Checkbox	What it does
Add	Log a contribution a member is putting into savings.
View	See savings balances and history.
Edit	Log a withdrawal a member is taking out of savings.
Transfer	Move money between a member’s own savings, loan, and share accounts.

11. Sacco360 Accounting Settings

Checkbox	What it does
View	See how SACCO transactions map to the general ledger.
Edit	Change that mapping.

12. Sacco360 Member Settings

Checkbox	What it does
View	See the rules for onboarding, ID verification, and how dormant/inactive accounts get handled.
Edit	Change those rules.

13. Sacco360 Operations Settings

Checkbox	What it does
View	See approval-workflow rules and scheduled background jobs.
Edit	Change those rules and trigger jobs manually.

14. Sacco360 Product Settings

Checkbox	What it does
View	See the loan, savings, and share products the SACCO offers, and their fees.
Edit	Change or add to those products and fees.

15. Sacco360 Shares

Checkbox	What it does
Add	Set up a new type of share product, or record a purchase more broadly.
View	See member share balances.
Edit	Transfer shares between accounts, or change existing share records.
Purchase	Sell shares to a member who’s there in person — the quick, everyday counter transaction (kept separate from Add so a teller can be given just this, without the broader product-setup ability).

16. Sacco360 Staff

The people who work at the SACCO, as opposed to the members it serves.

Checkbox	What it does
Add	Onboard a new staff member.
View	See the staff list and their details.
Edit	Change a staff member’s details, or take them off active duty.
Delete	Remove a staff profile entirely.
