My Leave is where you keep track of your time off. At a glance you can see how many days you have left for each kind of leave, apply for more, and follow the progress of your requests as they move from submitted to approved. This is the page most employees use day to day. It saves a trip to HR: you check your own balance, fill in a short form, and your manager picks it up from there. You’ll find this at: /my-hr/leave

Your leave balances

The top of the page shows a card for each leave type you’ve been allocated. Each card shows:
  • the leave type name (e.g. Annual Leave, Sick Leave),
  • the days left (your available balance), shown large,
  • and a small breakdown: Used (days already taken) and Total (opening + accrued + adjusted days).
If you don’t have any balances yet, you’ll see “No leave balances yet. HR will assign your leave policy.” Your line manager or HR sets up your leave entitlement; until that’s done there’s nothing to apply against.

Applying for leave

Click Apply for Leave to open the application form. (The button is disabled until you have at least one leave balance.)

Fill in: As you choose dates, the form shows the duration it has worked out (and notes when a half day is included). It also shows your available balance for the leave type you picked, so you can see before you submit whether you have enough days. When you click Submit, the request is submitted straight away — there is no “save as draft” step in the portal. The form clears each time you open or close it, so a previous half-finished application never leaks into the next one. A few checks happen before submission:
  • you must pick a leave type;
  • you must pick start and end dates;
  • the end date must be on or after the start date;
  • if you have more than one active contract, you must say which one the leave is for.
If anything else is wrong (for example you don’t have enough days, or you’ve picked an inactive contract), the server returns a clear message and the request is not created.

Tracking your requests

Below the Apply button, Recent Applications lists your most recent leave requests (up to ten). Each row shows the date range, the number of days, your reason if you gave one, and a status badge:

Cancelling or changing a request

⚠️ Current state: The My Leave page does not yet have a button to cancel or edit a leave request from the portal. You can see a request’s status (including “Cancelled” if it has been cancelled), but to withdraw or change a request you’ve already submitted, contact your manager or HR — they can cancel it from the admin side. (Flagged for the team: the portal lists and creates leave applications but exposes no cancel/withdraw action.)
